Quick Answer
The Alpha UV ETP UV Disinfection System is a multi-lamp UV-C system for industrial effluent treatment plant final effluent, sized from 10,000 to 2,00,000 LPH, with auto-wiper quartz cleaning for high-turbidity industrial ETP, SS316L chamber, and 4–20 mA SCADA output — CPCB and State PCB compliant.
Industrial UV-C for ETP final effluent — CPCB and State PCB compliant before ZLD or discharge
Industrial effluent treatment plant final effluent presents a more challenging UV application than sewage treatment: higher turbidity, colour, and suspended solids reduce UV transmittance (UVT), requiring higher lamp power and closer lamp spacing for the same dose. Alpha UV ETP UV systems are designed from measured effluent UVT and colour values — our IIT Patna engineers calculate the required UV dose for the actual pathogen targets in your effluent (coliform, Salmonella, or specific organisms cited in State PCB discharge conditions) and size the multi-lamp array accordingly. SS316L chambers with auto-wiper quartz sleeve cleaning systems handle fouling in high-turbidity textile, pharmaceutical, and food-processing ETP effluents. For ZLD schemes where treated ETP water is recycled for process or cooling tower use, UV provides the tertiary disinfection step that prevents microbial regrowth in recirculating water.

Every Alpha UV System reactor geometry is validated through CFD simulation using ANSYS Fluent. The analysis below shows velocity streamlines and UV dose distribution across the reactor cross-section, confirming that minimum dose targets are met across the entire chamber volume — not just at the chamber centreline.

Every ETP UV ships with genuine Philips UV-C lamps. Not unbranded Chinese alternatives. Philips lamps are rated 9,000–12,000 hours — more than double the life of typical Chinese OEM lamps. A serial number certificate of authenticity is included with every lamp.

Industrial ETP effluent typically has lower UV transmittance (UVT) than STP effluent due to higher colour, turbidity, and dissolved organics from industrial processes. ETP UV systems are therefore designed for higher lamp power density and include auto-wiper quartz cleaning to maintain dose delivery as quartz sleeves foul with industrial deposits.
Yes. In ZLD schemes, UV provides the tertiary disinfection step for ETP treated water before recirculation to cooling towers or process use. It eliminates regrowth of Legionella and coliform in recirculated water without adding chlorine that would accelerate corrosion in heat exchange equipment.
ETP UV systems can work at UVT values as low as 40–50% with higher lamp power arrays, but below UVT 40% the lamp count becomes impractical and pre-treatment (coagulation-flocculation or activated carbon) is recommended first. Our IIT Patna engineers calculate the feasible dose from your actual measured effluent UVT.
